Problem: What should have been an enticing user experience – navigation cards that inspire people to explore new destinations – was getting lost amid photography that looked identical to other images on our site, and identical to what our competitors are using.
Solution: To bring inspiration back to our product in a distinctive, truly ownable way, we decided to create delightful illustrations that could be served up for every bookable city in the world.
Role: Working with Engineering, UX, and Data science I led the integration of the creative into the product. Partnering with the head of illustration, we concepted, pitched, and executed on this global project from start to finish.
